Bing vrs Google - Bing integrates search into Facebook
Microsoft search engine Bing has stepped up it's game against Google for search engine dominance by integrating it's search into Facebook. This is a clever strategy by Bing which effectively means that businesses and people wanting to increase their visibility online will now have to seriously consider their Bing ranking due to the simple fact that Facebook has 400 Million accounts.
As social search rises in popularity with people opting to get real time opinion on information available on the web the logical step would be to try to get Facebooks massive audience to provide qualitative input into Bings results by commenting on or ranking results through a simple one click procedure. In short this could be a game changer and Bing may have finally come up with a strategy to bring it's search closer to a position from which it can challenge Facebooks dominance. The question is will Bing be bold enough to take the bold steps required to outmanoeuvre Google which appears now as it reaches maturity to be becoming clunky and slow to respond.
